Rabbi Ari Rotenberg

Rabbi Ari Rotenberg

Shelanu

Ari was born and grew up in Israel. He studied at the Hebron Yeshiva - Knesset of Israel where he gained Rabbinical ordination.

For nine years he coordinated and managed social projects in a variety of Jewish social frameworks, such as Gesher, Masa and others. Ari also volunteered for 18 months for the Israeli Border Police.

Ari also has a lot of expertise and proficiency working with students, immigrant youth, and young people in pre-military preparatory courses, such as in the Israeli Journey and Taglit.

In 2018 Ari was recruited by Jewish Futures to establish a new branch/organisation devoted to Israelis living in London.

Ari, together with his wife, Aliza (and their five lovely children), and the amazing professional team, manages and leads “Shelanu Be’London”, meaning “Ours in London”.

the future

Rabbi Naftali Schiff has always been seized with this idea that I see as fundamental: that the impact we have through our programmes should not be transactional, but transformational. It shouldn’t be aimed at keeping the train on the track, it should be aimed at changing young people’s lives. Because that is how you really make a difference to the Jewish future.
